Installation instructions

  1. Open your preferred web browser and enter the URL: https://secure.bensonconnect.com.au
  2. In this site, enter the username and password you have been provided
  3. Once you have logged in, select installers on the left hand side
  4. Under the list of installers, click on InteleViewer tracks.  If you are installing on a Mac, select the installer under evaluation track.  If you are installing on a Windows, select the installer under stable track
  5. Click on download InteleViewer
  6. Click save and select a location on your computer to save the file. The time it takes depends on the speed of your internet connection.
  1. Locate the InteleViewer.exe file that you downloaded, double-click it and run the installer
  2. You may get a security warning asking for confirmation "do you want to run this software?" click run to proceed
  3. The installation wizard launches and displays the InteleViewer license agreement. Read the terms of the license agreement, select I accept the terms of the license agreement and click next
  4. The Oracle Java license agreement appears. Read the terms of the license agreement, select I accept the terms of the license agreement and click next. Then the "Install Folder" window appears
  5. By default, the application will be installed in: C:\Program Files\Intelerad Medical Systems/InteleViewer. Click next for the default location or choose a different location
  6. At the "Allow User Upgrade" window, ensure the default all users is selected for the "Enable Future Upgrades" option and click next
  7. At the "Enable InteleViewer DICOM Service" window, ensure the default "disable DICOM service (recommended)" is selected and click next
  8. The InteleViewer installation will then complete and an icon appears on your desktop.

You will then need to add the Benson Connect bookmark

  1. Click enter a new server
  2. In the "New Bookmark" window, enter the following details:

    Server URL: https://secure.bensonconnect.com.au
    Tick: protect bookmark and use custom server name
    Name: Benson Connect
     
  3. Click OK. The bookmark will validate and a Benson Radiology bookmark will be created
  4. Click close in the "Server Bookmarks" window

You then select the “Benson Connect” bookmark and enter your username and password to log in to InteleViewer and access your patient’s images.

  1. Locate the InteleViewer.dmg file that you downloaded and double-click it to run the installer
  2. An InteleViewer package window opens which contains the InteleViewer application icon and a license agreement text file
  3. Drag the InteleViewer application to the Applications folder in your Finder window. The icon changes to include a green circle with a plus sign when you hover over the Applications folder
  4. If an older version of InteleViewer exists, you will be prompted to confirm if it can be replaced with the new version
  5. Click to eject the DMG package installer when you have finished
  6. Double-click the InteleViewer icon to launch the application
  7. Depending on your security settings, you may get a warning that InteleViewer is an application downloaded from the Internet and are you sure you want to open it? Click open
  8. The first time you try to run InteleViewer newer version of the Mac OSX may try to block the application. You can temporarily permit the application in system preferences. Once you have successfully launched the application you can apply the stricter security settings and InteleViewer will continue to work

To provide quick access to InteleViewer, you can drag the icon from the Application folder to your dock to create a shortcut

You will then need to add the Benson Connect bookmark

  1. Click enter a new server
  2. In the "New Bookmark" window, enter the following details:

    Server URL: https://secure.bensonconnect.com.au
    Tick: protect bookmark and use custom server name
    Name: Benson Connect
     
  3. Click OK. The bookmark will validate and a Benson Radiology bookmark will be created
  4. Click close in the "Server Bookmarks" window

You then select the “Benson Connect” bookmark and enter your username and password to log in to InteleViewer and access your patient’s images.

  9. Open your preferred web browser and enter the URL: https://secure.bensonconnect.com.au
  10. In this site, enter the username and password you have been provided. Once you have logged in, click installers on the left hand side
  11. Under the list of installers, click on InteleViewer tracks and locate the stable track. Click additional install options
  12. Download the MultiUserMode.reg file and run it on the terminal server.  This will allow more than one user to use InteleViewer at a time.
    1. Click enter a new server (If your InteleViewer has existing bookmarks, click Edit Bookmarks, then in the “Server Bookmarks” window click add)
    2. In the "New Bookmark" window, enter the following details:

      Server URL: https://secure.bensonconnect.com.au
      Tick: protect bookmark and use custom server name
      Name: Benson Connect
       
    3. Click OK. The bookmark will validate and a Benson Radiology bookmark will be created
    4. Click close in the "Server Bookmarks" window

    You then select the “Benson Connect” bookmark and enter your username and password to log in to InteleViewer and access your patient’s images

    If you use an iPhone or an iPad and would like the InteleConnect App, simply follow these instructions

    1. Download the InteleConnect app from the iTunes Store
    2. When you open the app for the first time, you will be asked to insert the following information:

      Name: Benson Connect 
      Server: secure.bensonconnect.com.au 
      Username: enter your normal username here
      Password: enter your normal password here
       
    3. Once this is verified, click on "Benson Connect"
    4.  This will then launch the application and simply enter your normal user name and password.

    To change your InteleViewer password, simply follow these instructions:

    1. Use your current username and password to log into InteleConnect at https://secure.bensonconnect.com.au

    2. Select 'My Profile' in the left column

    3. Tick 'Change password', and enter your new password

    4. Click 'Save'
