Benson Radiology introduces 3T MRI to its fleet

Having been the leader in the introduction of wide bore MRI to South Australia, Benson Radiology has now introduced a 3T scanner to its fleet.

Installed at its Ashford branch, the Siemens Skyra is Benson Radiology’s sixth wide bore MRI scanner and the State’s newest.

The scanner which represents the latest advances in MRI technology, will deliver optimum high resolution image quality, while making scans quicker and more comfortable for patients.

The roominess of the 70cm wide bore allows the scanning of patients of all sizes, and helps reduce anxiety and claustrophobia. The ultra-short bore means that many studies can be completed with the patient’s head outside the scanner.

The scanner is also the first in the State to be fitted with noise reduction technology, making scans quieter for patients.

The new 3T scanner has full Medicare eligibility.
