Benson Radiology sonographer wins at national awards

Benson Radiology sonographer Gary McCulloch has been awarded the Sonographer of the Year – South Australia, at the recent Australian Sonographers Association (ASA) National Awards of Excellence in Melbourne.

The national awards honour and recognise outstanding achievement in sonography and celebrate the important role sonographers play in the health sector.

As a sonographer for more than 13 years, Gary was humbled by the award.

“Simply getting nominated by my peers in the industry was an achievement – but then to be judged the winner was very special and certainly something I wasn’t expecting,” Gary said.

Benson Radiology Managing Partner Dr Simon Hobbs said the award was well deserved.

“We’re delighted that Gary has been recognised at these awards, without doubt, he’s an extremely worthy recipient,” Dr Hobbs said

“The award is a fitting acknowledgment of Gary’s skills, his dedication to his craft and the unwavering focus he has on his patients.”

“As one of our senior sonographers, Gary is very well respected in the industry. This, in part, is also due to the significant role he plays in the development of others.”
