Benson Radiology’s ABUS technology making news

The benefits of Benson Radiology’s Australia-first automated breast ultrasound technology have come to prominence through recent reports on Channel Seven and in The Australian.

Benson Radiology is the first imaging provider in Australia to introduce the GE Invenia Automated Breast Ultrasound (ABUS) technology.

The ABUS examination is a powerful tool for those women who have been demonstrated to have dense breast tissue. It doesn’t use any ionising radiation and presents to the Radiologist the entire breast in a three dimensional volumetric view.

When used in conjunction with traditional mammography, ABUS has been demonstrated to significantly increase breast cancer detection in women with dense breasts.
