Naracoorte CT service launched
15 October 2015
Radiology services at the Naracoorte District Hospital have received a boost with the introduction of CT scanning.
The long-awaited scanner has been funded by the local community and is operated by Benson Radiology. It was officially launched by local Mayor Erika Vickery at an event on Wednesday 14 October.
Benson Radiology Chief Executive Officer Graham McGeagh applauded the local community’s fund raising efforts.
“This service will be of great benefit to the residents of Naracoorte and surrounding areas,” Mr McGeagh said.
“Benson Radiology is delighted to play its part, which is essentially to provide CT scanning services.”
“However none of this would be possible if not for the tremendous community spirit and fundraising efforts that have taken place since 2010.”
“To that end I congratulate the Naracoorte Lucindale CT Trust and the selfless efforts of all those involved.”
“This is a clear demonstration of what can be achieved when a community comes together for a common purpose.”
