New CT scanner installed at Modbury Hospital

Benson Radiology has installed a new CT scanner at its Modbury Hospital branch. The new GE Revolution EVO represents the latest in CT advancements.

It’s the only scanner in the state to have ASiR‑V technology which produces high resolution images at a low dose, allowing for scanning to take place at a far lower dose of up to 82%.

Clinically, the scanner provides optimum image quality which allows for a quick, accurate and confident diagnosis.

From a patient’s perspective, the scanner is quick, requiring shorter breath-holds. For example a chest can now be scanned in two seconds and with the cardiac package, setting up and performing complex cardiac procedures is quick, reliable and repeatable.
