GP Items (61329, 61357)
(a) the patient has symptoms of cardiac ischaemia; and
(b) at least one of the following applies:
(i) the patient has body habitus or other physical conditions (including heart rhythm disturbance) to the extent that a stress echocardiography would not provide adequate information;
(ii) the patient is unable to exercise to the extent required for a stress echocardiography to provide adequate information;
(iii) the patient has had a failed stress echocardiography provided in a service to which items 55141, 55143, 55145 or 55146 applies;
Can be claimed once in 24months.
Specialists Items (61324, 61345)
As above; however specialists are allowed item 61349, which allows a repeat scan with in 24months if:
the patient has subsequently undergone a revascularisation procedure; and
(a) the patient has one or more symptoms of cardiac ischaemia that have evolved and are not adequately controlled with optimal medical therapy; and
(b) at least one of the following applies:
(i) the patient has body habitus or other physical conditions (including heart rhythm disturbance) to the extent that a stress echocardiography would not provide adequate information;
(ii) the patient is unable to exercise to the extent required for a stress echocardiography to provide adequate information;
(iii) the patient has had a failed stress echocardiography

Whole body FDG PET study, following initial therapy, performed for the evaluation of suspected residual, metastatic or recurrent cancer in a patient who is undergoing, or is suitable for, active therapy, if the cancer is:
(a) a rare or uncommon cancer (less than 12 cases per 100,000 persons per year); if:
(b) a typically FDG-avid cancer (R)
